FAIRMONT — A 20-year-old Fairmont man was charged after a search July 18 in Fairmont allegedly revealed approximately two pounds of marijuana, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint states that Joseph Michael Toothman of 805 Potomac Ave., Fairmont is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana. According to the court papers, officers with the Three Rivers Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 805 Potomac Ave. While entering the home, police allegedly saw Toothman attempting to exit through the back door carrying a dark-colored bag.

He re-entered the home and was detained.

During the search, officers found the bag in the kitchen drop ceiling, the complaint states. The bag contained approximately two pounds of marijuana, according to the complaint.

Officers also allegedly found packaging materials, digital scales, two firearms and approximately $3,200 in U.S. currency, the complaint states.

Court records show Toothman’s bail was set at $5,012, which was posted.
