This vehicle was being towed away at the scene of a crash Friday in Idamay

IDAMAY — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday in Idamay, according to Marion County 911.

The call for the crash on Route 218, near the intersection with Spruce Street, came in at 3:15 p.m.

According to 911, the injured person was taken by ambulance to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

At the scene, a silver Chevy SUV was being towed away as emergency workers finished their work at the scene.

Jeanette Riggs, who lives on Spruce Street, said she was inside her house when the accident occurred.

She said it sounded like “a big crash.”

But she thought it sounded worse than it was.

“It was a lot louder than the way it looked,” she said.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was at the scene, but a member of the office declined comment and referred all questions to the sheriff’s office.
