FAIRMONT — Deputies charged a 48-year-old woman with unlawful assault after she allegedly attacked her aunt July 2 in Fairmont, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint states that Tina Marie Gill of 109 Ridgeview Ave., Fairmont, faces the felony charge and also a felony offense of burglary. Court records show she is in North Central Regional Jail in lieu of $100,012 bail.

According to the court papers, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched July 2 to 109 Ridgeview Ave. for an assault.

The deputy and another deputy were previously at the residence at approximately 7 a.m. the same day for a trespassing complaint and a Domestic Violence Protective order violation complaint. The deputy was told that Gill arrived back at her residence at approximately 9:30 a.m. and allegedly assaulted Kathy Henderson, her aunt, according to the complaint.

Henderson said she and her sister were looking through a trailer for items that were stolen from her residence, the complaint states. Henderson’s sister owns a trailer behind the residence and allows Gill to stay in it, according to the court papers.

Henderson told the deputy she located some jewelry and watches that were part of the items stolen from her residence June 30. Henderson said Gill returned home as she was walking out of the trailer, and Gill allegedly attacked her. Henderson said Gill allegedly grabbed her by the hair, threw her down and started punching her in the face, the complaint states.

Police said Henderson also said Gill allegedly then kicked her in the ribs several times while she was laying on the porch. The deputy saw blood and a laceration on Henderson’s face and a large amount of blood on the porch of Gill’s residence, according to the court papers.

Henderson was transported to Fairmont Regional Hospital by Marion County Rescue Squad and had a fractured nasal cavity, and severely bruised ribs and received stitches to her face, the complaint states.
