Recently the Annual Ice Bowl disc golf tournament and Chili Cookoff contest was held at Morris Park in Fairmont. Man! What a great time. Thirty five players and 18 chili cookers combined to create a wonderful community event to raise money for The Soup Opera. I want to thank the following friends, neighbors and relatives who supported my efforts for the event: Charley and Nancy Lawler, Jeff and Dina Smith, Keith and Kathy Wade, John and Betty Nichols, Tim and Eileen Layman, John and Jean Arcure, Steve Perotti of Mountain State Accounting Services, and Aaron Yoho of Shay and Yoho Attorneys at Law, Kingwood , WV.

I sincerely appreciate your generosity.

There are 6000 disc golf courses in The United States. Our two courses at Morris Park are ranked in the top 100!

That's how nice they are. Phil and Rebecca Burton have created a wonderful monument in honor of their son Seth. Along with Josh Smith and other volunteers the courses get better every year and the Ice Bowl continues to become a large community event.

So come up and play. It's fun, it's free and it's good exercise.
