The Times West Virginian encourages readers to express their opinions on local, regional, state, national and international topics through the Readers Write section. Writers may not have more than one letter published every three weeks. Letters must be original content by the writer and written in the writer's own words. Letters must be 500 words or less, with no exceptions. Form letters and open letters are not accepted. Letters of thanks will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Letters are subject to editing or rejection for clarity, accuracy, taste and potential for libel. You must provide your name and hometown, which will be published with the letter, and your phone number, which will only be used to verify the letter for publication.
