Former West Virginia football player Ed Collington says another ex-player organized the Oct. 26 robbery that got him arrested.

In a Monongalia County Magistrate Court hearing Wednesday, Collington blamed Charles Pugh, who was kicked off the team in June after being charged with stealing a credit card. Pugh later pleaded guilty to that charge.

Pugh hasn't been charged in the October case.

Collington was booted from the Mountaineers after a February drug charge. He faces a Nov. 10 trial on that charge.

A magistrate sent the robbery case to the grand jury. Police say four men may have been involved in the robbery but only Collington could be identified.

Collington now attends Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. Pugh is a senior at Shepherd University.
